Information about cookies

Following the entry into force of the amendment to the Information Society Services Act (LSSICE) introduced by Royal Decree 13/2012, all websites using dispensable cookies are required to obtain the user's express consent before the user browses them.

What are cookies?

Cookies and other similar technologies, such as local shared objects, flash cookies or pixels, are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors and to ensure the site works correctly.

These devices allow the web server to remember certain data concerning the user, such as their preferences for displaying that server's pages, their username and password, or the products they are most interested in.

Cookies covered by the regulations and exempt cookies

Under the EU directive, the cookies requiring the user's informed consent are analytics, advertising and affiliation cookies, while technical cookies and those necessary for the website to work or to provide services expressly requested by the user are exempt.

Types of cookies

By purpose

Technical and functional cookies: those that allow the user to browse a website, platform or application and to use the different options or services available on it.
Analytics cookies: those that allow the party responsible for them to monitor and analyse the behaviour of users of the websites they are linked to. The information gathered is used to measure site activity and to build user browsing profiles, in order to introduce improvements.
Advertising cookies: those that allow the management of advertising space which, where applicable, the publisher has included on the website.
Behavioural advertising cookies: these gather information about the user's personal preferences and choices (retargeting) in order to manage advertising space as effectively as possible.
Social cookies: set by social network platforms to allow content to be shared with contacts and networks.
Affiliation cookies: these track visits coming from other websites with which the site has an affiliation agreement.
Security cookies: these store encrypted information to prevent the data held in them from being vulnerable to malicious attacks by third parties.

By ownership

First-party cookies: those sent to the user's device from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself, from which the service requested by the user is provided.
Third-party cookies: those sent to the user's device from a computer or domain not managed by the publisher but by another entity, which processes the data obtained through the cookies.

By retention period

Session cookies: designed to gather and store data while the user accesses a website.
Persistent cookies: the data remains stored on the device and may be accessed and processed for a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, which may range from minutes to years.

Processing of personal data

AETYM is the controller of the data subject's personal data and hereby informs them that such data will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR). The following information about the processing is provided:

Purposes of the processing: as specified in the section on the cookies used on this website.
Legal basis: the data subject's consent (art. 6.1 GDPR), except for technical cookies, which are necessary to provide the service.
Data retention criteria: as specified in the section on the cookies used on the website.
Disclosure of data: data will not be disclosed to third parties, except in the case of third-party cookies or where required by law.

Rights of the data subject:

The right to withdraw consent at any time.
The right to access, rectify, port and erase their data, and to restrict or object to its processing.
The right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (www.aepd.es) if they believe the processing does not comply with current legislation.

Cookies used on this website

First-party technical cookies. Necessary for the site to work: they keep the user's session while browsing, allow access to private areas and protect form submissions. They are temporary and expire when the session is closed.

Third-party cookies. When maps and the public information on listings are displayed, the providers of those services — including Google — may install their own cookies, the purposes and retention periods of which are determined by each provider. See Google's privacy policy.

How to manage or delete cookies
